Sleepers (Reclaimed)

Reclaimed sleepers are exactly that, they have been lifted of the railway lines, had the metal work removed, been graded then packed. We only sell grade 1 sleepers. There are a mix of species of timber throughout the sleepers.

Please note that these sleepers were pressured treated with creosote and are treated to last. Creosote will mark and spoil your clothes and shouldn’t be allowed to come into contact with your skin. Please use safety work wear whilst handling this product.

Product Description

Reclaimed sleepers are fantastic for landscaping projects and for some more robust purposes such as gate posts, retaining walls and even shed bases. Due to their creosoted treatment there life span is extremely long. They are dark in colour and due to been reclaimed aren’t always consistent in shape. The measurements of 250x125x2600 are commonly used for planning your quantity but these size may vary slightly. It is common for reclaimed sleepers to have cracks or splits in them as well but this doesn’t take away from their strength.

Delivery Policy

We will endeavour to deliver your items as soon as possible. Items on backorder are not held in stock and can sometimes mean a delay to your delivery. Our normal delivery service is currently 5-7 working days. We will contact you when your order is ready to confirm delivery.

All deliveries are kerbside unless otherwise agreed with the driver on the day. Driver discretion takes precedent. If you require HIAB delivery, please mention this when placing your order. Please add details in the notes section.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer a nationwide delivery service on our bulky items. However, if you would like to place a sizeable order, please call our sales office on 01538 753184 as alternative delivery options may be available.

We endeavour to post out your small goods the next working day; however, in busy periods this can take a little longer.
