W Burton Charity Golf Day at JCB
A fantastic day and an amazing amount of money raised, well done to all the team at W Burton and Sons

We tee’d off and enjoyed a great day’s golf at the beautiful JCB Golf and Country Club at Uttoxeter to raise funds for the Royal Stoke Hospital.
We would like to thank everyone who generously supported the event and helped raise £10,000 for the Critical Care Unit at the Royal Stoke Hospital.

JCB Golf and Country Club Uttoxeter
The Burton family have been long time supporters of the Critical Care Unit at the Royal Stoke Hospital having had occasion to be grateful for the work they do. A hand picked selection of customers, suppliers and friends were specially invited to participate in this fund-raising event to take place at the prestigious golf club at JCB.
After a hearty breakfast and some practice at the driving range teams of four headed off at 10 minute intervals to enjoy the great facilities.
After the golf there was a generous meal for all to enjoy in the clubhouse and Adam Burton presented the winning golfers and teams with a selection of prizes
The JCB Golf and Country Club is a tour ready, golf course set amongst the rolling hills of the Staffordshire countryside.
The 7308 yard par 72 course stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the best course in the World and was a great challenge for all the players.
Whilst all the course gave several of the players quite a challenge it was the opportunity to play the famous signature 17th Hole-a brutal 255 yard par 3 onto a converted island that intimidated several golfers. Some found water but a surprising number hit the island first time.
